Residencies in Special Education Classrooms

Upstream Arts provides artist residencies in Special Education classrooms around the metro area in elementary, middle and high schools.  Each week during the school year, trained, local, professional artists lead programming in each classroom. Over the course of a semester or school year, the artists teach and explore a variety of art mediums, including theater, dance, poetry, writing, and visual art.  Our structured arts curriculum fosters communication and social skills that apply to your students' everyday interactions. In addition, every workshop injects a spirit of discovery into your regular routine.

Eisenhower Elementary School, Hopkins, MN
Lake Harriet Middle School, Minneapolis, MN
Edison High School, Minneapolis, MN
