As we mentioned recently, Upstream Arts is honored to have been selected for the 2012-14 round of ArtsLab, a program of Arts Midwest that offers intensive training in leadership and strategic management to arts organizations in both urban and rural communities.  Beginning this fall, Upstream Arts will be one of 15 organizations participating in a new cycle of ArtsLab retreats and shared learning opportunities designed to build leadership skills, increase financial and operational resiliency, and cultivate relationships.  You can read the full press release here.  We’re extremely excited about this opportunity to learn and grow in dialogue with our peers.

In addition to this selected learning community, ArtsLab is offering a Leadership Idea Exchange to gather an even wider pool of artists, innovators, and leaders across sectors and across the region for lively conversations on the role of creativity in building resiliency in our communities and in designing our futures. Organizations in Minneapolis/St. Paul, greater Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota are encouraged to register for these free events.  We’ll be attending some of these sessions and would love to see you there, too – click here to check out the dates and sign up.

Support for ArtsLab is generously provided by The McKnight Foundation, F. R. Bigelow Foundation, Mardag Foundation, The Saint Paul Foundation, Bush Foundation, and the United Arts Fund.  We’re incredibly grateful to each one of these incredible partners for their belief in and vital support of the arts.
