As Give to the Max Day approaches, Upstream Arts is reflecting on why our work matters – how creativity has shaped our community, how it continues to work in our lives, and how it is leading us into the future.
How does arts education impact people of all ages and abilities? Why should people financially support and advocate for the kind of programming that Upstream Arts offers?
In response to these questions, we’d like to invite you to collaborate with us to make a new work of art, to be revealed on Give to the Max Day! Each day this week until Thursday, we will send out a question about the role of creativity in your own life. The responses we receive will be culled by our staff and teaching artists to create a brand new artwork, to be revealed online this Thursday.
Today’s question: What’s your earliest childhood memory of creativity?
To respond, just comment on this blog post, our GiveMN.org wall, our Facebook wall, or send us a tweet. Your answer might be related to the arts (a memory of the first time you drew a picture or sang a solo) or simply a time you used your imagination to solve a problem or get something you wanted. There’s no wrong answer. We look forward to hearing from you!
And then – invest in Upstream Arts today by making or scheduling your secure online donation at GiveMN.org.
