Nikki Abramson recently published I Choose Hope, her first book, which talks about having a disability, how to embrace life, and how to have hope through it all.
Charles Fraser is performing in Failure: A Love Story as part of the Minnesota Fringe Festival at the Illusion Theatre from August 1-10. “It’s 1928 in Chicago, and all three Fail sisters are soon to die. Follow them through their triumphs and eventual demise in this smart, moving, quirky comedy that proves it’s better to have loved and lost…”
Tena May Gallivan is assisting her husband, the great “Wally o’ Wonka,” in creating some ice cream arts! Wally is roaming the streets, parties, and other events all summer with his Leprechaun’s Dreamcycle, sharing ice cream, music, balloons, and other treats.
Masa Kawahara will be spending a week in residency at Studio 3o3 in Montréal this month, working on a new project with UA Teaching Apprentice Pramila Vasudevan and her company, Anicca Arts.
Norah Long is beginning rehearsals for Nature, an original work from TigerLion Arts about Emerson and Thoreau’s mutual love affair with the natural world. This “walking play” was collaboratively created with writer/actor Tyson Forbes, a direct descendent of Ralph Waldo Emerson, and will run Sept 12-Oct 12 at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. Norah will be acting, singing, and playing the violin alongside fellow UA Teaching Artist Matt Sciple!
