Masa and Henry at the Upstream Arts office

Masa and Henry at the Upstream Arts office

Have you received your copy of our new Annual Report? You’ll notice it’s different from reports we’ve sent in the past. We wanted to simply feature our friend and Upstream Arts participant Henry Brown, using gorgeous original artwork by our Teaching Artist Masa Kawahara, to show the impact YOU are having on individuals with disabilities at every stage of life.

If you’re not on our mailing list and would like a free hard copy, simply contact us and let us know. You can also click here to view an online version, see pictures of Henry and Masa, and more.

As it happens, this Thursday, November 13, is not only Give to the Max Day in Minnesota – it’s also Henry’s birthday! He’ll be turning 22, just in time for a brand new chapter in life as a professional actor with Interact Center for the Visual and Performing Arts. (You can read more about Henry’s artistic path over the past eight years here.) Please join us in sending Henry warm wishes for the best year yet!

Last year, your support allowed Upstream Arts to carry out 100+ high-quality multidisciplinary arts programs, exhibits, and events serving more than 5,000 people like Henry. This year, we have a goal of raising $15,000 by December 31, 2014 in order to bring the arts to even more individuals with disabilities in the new year.

Join the movement to bring the artistry and joy of Upstream Arts to people of all abilities by scheduling your Give to the Max Day donation today. You play an essential role in our community. Let’s keep moving upstream together.
