Calling all golf fanatics and fans! Upstream Arts is honored to be the beneficiary of the 2nd Annual David K Open: Red, White & Blue Golf Tournament at Deer Run Golf Club in Victoria, Minnesota, coming up on Friday, July 3, 2015. We’re thrilled for this opportunity to celebrate the launch of our 10th Anniversary with friends old and new, spread awareness about our work, and raise essential funds for our 2015-16 programs.
David K, the generous organizer of this event, wears many hats. He’s the editor of Lake Minnetonka Navigator Magazine and a fantastic musician (recently found playing live at The Art of We, our 2nd Annual Meeting and Fundraiser), among other things. He was introduced to Upstream Arts by our Teaching Artist Ryan Hoag, who participated in last year’s 1st Annual David K Open; and David also has a brother with disabilities. “My heart goes out to organizations like yours,” he wrote to us earlier this spring. “I’ll do all I can to help. [At last year’s event] we had pro athletes and rock stars, and we hope to be able to bring that kind of excitement this year in support of Upstream Arts!”
