This summer, Upstream Arts was lucky to work with FOUR amazing interns: Catherine Lee, Elisabeth Lee, Elana Abelson, and Jalisa Negley-Pettit.

Catherine and Elisabeth (who happen to be sisters, and not only that, but daughters of Upstream Arts Founding Board Member Jack Lee) assisted in the office, while Jalisa (a theater major at North Central University, who found us through our Teaching Artist Norah Long) and Elana (who is creating her own major at St. Olaf, exploring how creative outlets can enhance the lives of people with disabilities) split time between the office and programs.

We can’t begin to express what a pleasure it’s been to work with these smart, savvy women all summer. We wish they could stay with us all year – but we’re also super excited for all the adventures that lie ahead for them. Please join us in wishing all four of them the best of luck in their continued studies and creative endeavors!
