Wild Rumpus book basket

Can you believe our Art of We: Ten Year Anniversary Celebration & Fundraiser is only 10 days away? We can’t either! Larissa the intern here, and I am excited to announce our third live auction item that will be available to bidders on May 19th at the American Swedish Institute!

Our friends at the Wild Rumpus Bookstore have generously donated three book baskets that will be given to an Upstream Arts partner school (one elementary school, one middle school, and one high school). The age appropriate collections have been carefully curated by Wild Rumpus to contain up to 9 books featuring individuals with disabilities as main characters in the stories. Individuals with disabilities rarely see themselves reflected in literature, which is why we are especially excited to auction off this item to be given to schools for students with disabilities. Live auction bidders will be able to bid on these book baskets that will then go to special education classes within our partner schools. As a token of our appreciation, the winning bidder will receive an Upstream Arts T-shirt and a gift card to Wild Rumpus!

Below is the list of books included in the baskets.
