Nikki Abramson has been selected to perform for Patrick’s Cabaret’s Cabarable, which features six artists with disabilities. All six artists will share work on the theme “rights and responsibilities.” Nikki will be performing a few selections from her 5-star rated Fringe show, No Limits. Performances run Friday, November 4 and Saturday, November 5 at The Cowles Center.

Rachel Jendrzejewski co-curated “Our Capacity for Imagining: Political Theater in 2016” with Sha Cage, a conversation and participatory event hosted by the UMN Institute for Advanced Study on Thursday, November 3, from 3:30-5pm, which is FREE and open to the public. She is also collaborating on a new multidisciplinary exhibit, Tetramurmur, with Theo Goodell, Liz Miller, and David Hamlow, opening on Friday, November 4, at Art Space Vincennes in Indiana (through February 2017); and her play encyclopedia was just published by Spout Press, available for online ordering here.
Masa Kawahara‘s “8th and last project for 2016” is performing in The Oldest Boy, a play written by Sarah Ruhl and directed by Sarah Rasmussen, opening November 4 and running through December 18 at The Jungle Theater. Masa says it includes “a wonderful cast (and a puppet)”!
Pedro Pablo Lander is going to a week-long residency with April Sellers Dance Collective at Purdue University, and will perform Magnolia Yang‘s work at the Walker Art Center’s Choreographer’s Evening on November 26.
Norah Long is performing in Orphan Train at History Theatre, opening November 19 and running through December 18. She is also still teaching 41 private lessons each week and singing Saturdays and Sundays at her church, St. Philip.
Gregory Parks will be performing in Brewprov at Lakes and Legends on November 3. He is also working with the group Impropera, which performs improvised opera; and he is in the cast of Rated G – all ages appropriate improv formatted like a Disney movie (characters, musical).- on November 12, 4pm, at Huge Theater in Uptown!
