Evie Digirolamo is performing in a show she co-created with her home theater company Sandbox Theatre. In The Treetops explores the incredible life and pioneering work of New Ulm-native feminist, illustrator and children’s author Wanda Gag. In The Treetops is an allegorical celebration of what drives us all to create and is with filled fairy tales, fables and songs. Plays October 6-17 at the Open Eye Figure Theater.

Aaron Fiskradatz is featured as playwright and performer in Odyssey on the Edge of Light, a multi-stage puppet fantasy from Mad Munchkin Productions. Shows from October 13-21 at Squirrel Haus Arts in Minneapolis.  madmunchkinodyssey.brownpapertickets.com

Pedro Lander will be performing as Doña Pepa Ladybeard on Friday, October 13 at the National Coming Out Week Drag Show at Coffman Union on the UofM. Show at 8pm, doors at 7:30pm. Free, though donations accepted for the Queer Center at the University. Pedro will also be performing at Carleton College in a dance piece by Judith Howard on November 3 and 4 with Erin Thompson, Sally Rousse, Morgan Thorson, Sam Johnson, Morgan Veldhuizen.

Nikki Abramson will be taking the show “Beyond Limits” to MASE MN Administrators for Special Educators on October 25 in Brainerd, MN. The cast will share the production and message of this play with special education teachers and administrators.

A play that Dylan Fresco co-created and performs in runs at the Guthrie’s Dowling Studio, October 27-29Birds Sing Differently Here is a production of The Iraqi and American Reconciliation Project’s “Iraqi Voices” Program – which creates space for members of the Iraqi-Minnesotan community to share their voices through art. Based on the true stories of 12 Iraqi-Minnesotan refugees and immigrants and featuring 6 of them along with 4 professional actors, Birds Sing Differently Here weaves together tales of sweetness, sorrow, grief and discovery. Tiger Lion Arts just performed their outdoor theatrical experience “Nature” on tour in Concord MA at the Old Manse. Norah Long is Music Director this year in addition to reprising her role as Mother Nature, playing violin, and leading the Community Choruses.
