Pramila Vasudevan has curated new work for Illuminate South Loop by dance artists Emily Gastineau and DaNCEBUMS, as well as work by fellow Upstream Arts Teaching Artist Pedro Lander, on Feb. 1 and 2 at 6:00pm. http://northern.lights.mn/projects/pramila-vasudevan-pedro-lander-emily-gastineau-and-dancebums/

Pedro Lander will show Masc4Masc with Zoe Cinel as part of the aforementioned Illuminate South Loop. Theresa Madaus presents MAGIC 8 BALL, a night of drag and dance performance at the Bryant Lake Bowl on Feb. 7 at 7:00pm featuring her own work alongside performance by Supergroup, Paige Collette, Megan Mayer, Mad King Thomas and PussPuss (Jeffry Lusiak). http://www.bryantlakebowl.com/theater/magic-8-ball-2/?mc_id=714

Lindsey Samples directs The Odyssey for MN Opera’s Project Opera, working with 60 students ranging from grades 4-12 to perform this condensed, comedic version of Homer’s epic tale on Feb 9-11 at the Lab Theater. http://www.mnopera.org/season/odyssey/ She is also directing How to Have Fun in a Civil War, a one-act multimedia play in which Minnesota-based Somali playwright and performer Ifrah Mansour revisits her childhood memories during the 1991 Somali civil war to confront violent history with humor, and provide a voice for the stories of children on Feb 25-Mar 10 at the GuthrieTheater. https://www.guthrietheater.org/shows-and-tickets/2017-2018-season/solo-emerging-artist-celebration/
