A collection of books, chapbooks, and the gift certificates for the Loft and The Moth tickets.

A selection of stories from the More Than One Story package.

Our last auction package – “More Than One Story” –brings together the multiplicity of storytelling and book arts with a collection of newly released stories and experiences from a diverse group of authors and Twin Cities organizations.

Let poetry transport you to a world of metaphor, alliteration and allusion with two portfolio-quality chapbooks by Wells Denison and DJ Savarese, published and donated by Unrestricted Interest. Unrestricted Interest celebrates neurodiversity with an array of creative writing programs including one-on-one mentorship, literacy, and teacher/staff trainings, all dedicated to transforming the lives of kids and adults on the autism spectrum through poetry.

Experience brand new stories with four new book releases from Cow Tipping Press. Hot off the presses, these are stories written by individuals with disabilities, rather than the ones we have heard about them. Cow Tipping Press creates the opportunity to relish assets rather than pity deficits of our peers with disabilities through the unique lens of creative writing.

Get involved with a $50 gift certificate to The Loft Literary Center, a thriving literary community that works to foster artistic development. One of the largest literary centers of its kind, The Loft encompasses a bookstore, art spaces, and offers classes and programs for storytellers of all ages.

Join the storytelling phenomenon with two tickets to a monthly Moth StorySLAM at the Amsterdam Bar & Hall and a copy of All These Wonders, The Moth’s newest collection of true stories. Best known for their nationally syndicated podcasts, The Moth is an organization that works to foster mutual understanding through live telling of stories and podcasts, built on the idea that everyone has a story. Eight of our community members shared their stories at The Moth StorySLAM earlier this year after Upstream Arts partnered with The Moth to bring a storytelling workshop to our community.

In addition to the chance to bid on this amazing collection of books and storytelling, one of the workshop participants will be sharing his story, MothSLAM-style, at the event! Be sure to RSVP for the May 17 fundraiser and celebration at the Science Museum.
