Our Teaching Artists and Staff are involved in a wide range of professional projects outside of their work with Upstream Arts. Each month, we post opportunities to see their performances, exhibitions, and other events as well as notable accomplishments.

Masa Kawahara is performing in Speechless by The Moving Company. It’s currently runningat The Lab Theater and will close on June 10. Find more info at thelabtheater.org or themovingco.org.
Lindsey Samples is directing 13 Clocks, McKnight fellow Katharine Horowitz’s works in progress piece, which Sarah Brown is performing in! It will be presented with other works in progress by 2018 McKnight fellows at the Southern Theater on June 12 at 7pm. More info here.

Chris Garza is assistant directing West Side Story at the Guthrie this summer. It runs June 16-August 26. More information available here.

Dylan Fresco will be a featured performer at the Kaleo Center for Faith, Justice & Social Transformation’s annual celebration: Night of a New Day. More info at http://kaleo.center/nnd2018/. Tickets are $18. If you would like to attend but cost is a barrier, please sign up for a Community Ticket here for a free ticket.  Dylan will also be bringing the Wonder Drum, a mobile hub for Rhythm, to Storytime in the Park in Inver Grove Heights on Tuesday, June 19 from 10:30am to 12:30pm. Inspired by some of the music activities in Upstream Arts, the Wonder Drum is a drum on wheels with hand percussion instruments inside.

Sara Richardson is having a ridiculously wonderful time working on Baskerville, which opens at Park Square Theatre on June 22 and runs through August 5. It’s directed by fellow teaching artist, the seriously funny and multi-talented Theo Langason!
Dylan Fresco and Lindsey Samples are teaching an all access camp at Children’s Theatre June 25-29. More info here.
