The back entrance of The Whim

We’re looking foward to connecting with you at our farewell event, The Art of You: Carrying It Forward, on September 25 from 6-9pm at The Whim. Here’s everything you need to know to ensure that you can fully enjoy the evening.

While there is no cost to attend the event, we do ask you to RSVP so that we can plan for food and space.

The Whim is located close to the #17 and 10 Metro Transit bus lines.

Parking and Access

There is a large free lot with 80 parking spots, including accessible parking near the back door.

Drop off is also welcome in the parking lot by the back door.

There are two entrances to The Whim; we are encouraging everyone to enter via the back door, which is our main entrance point for the event.

You can also access the space via the front door, either up a set of steps, or by using the accessible path around the corner.

Once inside, please check in at the registration desk, where we will provide you with a program, Social Skills Scavenger Hunt, and name tag.

If you would like to use any of the access services, please let registration know, and they can direct you on how to find the service.

Bathrooms

The Whim has gendered bathrooms in the main space with accessible stalls in each. Doors will be propped open for access.

Air Quality and Covid Precautions

Masks are optional. If you are sick, experiencing symptoms of Covid-19, or have had a recent exposure, please stay home.

This is not a fragrance-free event.  However, if you are able, we ask you to refrain from wearing scented products such as perfume, cologne, and fragrant personal care products.
